The client, a psychologist, wanted a website that would speak to her clientele. We collaborated on choosing the best theme for her site – MentalPress from ThemeForest. The client also wanted a pictogram that would suggest an opening door that used the primary color of her main site image. I chose the font Interstate to suggest form and function.

Midland Supply

Website Design and Development

The client’s goal was to design a responsive site that presents Midland Supply as a professional GSA Contractor. The GSA logo is used on the landing page to convey that connection. From the top down, the logo and toolkit images were retouched and resampled in Photoshop; the logo has to work at all sizes for all devices. The color palette was picked up from their logo and the GSA logo. The slideshow shows their entire product line that uses a password-protected system to give access only to pre-approved parties.

This project also began as a website redesign and then expanded to include logo and social media branding and collateral material. The logo was designed from source materials from the client in Illustrator. The color palette was a collaborative effort between the client and myself. The theme being used is a responsive restaurant theme called Elegantia from Themeforest. Often, it is better to use a theme that is designed specifically for a given audience so that you’re not reinventing the wheel. I downloaded and resampled all the images from stock photography and worked with the theme author to establish four separate menus in the navigation area. The breakpoints are at 980px, 768px, and 480px.

Norfolk Charitable Trust

Web Design and Collateral

The NCT Archive requested an updated website with a large array of content – text and images. The layout uses image wrapping for the both left and right columns. Photo galleries were used to highlight specific exhibits. A brand identity was established that carried over into the collateral material used to introduce wth website to the public.
